RESERVATIONS: Please notifiy Mrs Cheryl Mercer at North Side High School at 668-7877 by Thursday, November 8, 2007 for reservations.

MEETINGS: Regular meetings will be held at 6:00 PM. Executive Board Meetings will be an hour prior to the regular meeting at 5:00 PM. Our next planned meeting: Monday, February 12, 2008 - Chocolate Lover's Delight.

Monday, September 10, 2007: GUEST SPEAKER: Mr. William Smith - Benefit of Cooperative Games and Brain - Gym Activities with Students. This was an exciting workshop on how to keep kids excited about learning through motivational games.

Monday, January 29, 2007 - Chocolate Lover's Delight - GUEST SPEAKER: Mr. Bob Alvey, Chair of the Board, of the Jackson-Madison County School System, presented his understanding of the presentation of unitary status in the Jackson-Madison County School System. This meeting was a pre-cursor of School Board action. The School Board decided to postpone seeking Unitary Status.

     Monday, September 18, 2006 -- Dr. Nancy Zambito, new Superintendent of Jackson-Madison County Schools was the guest speaker. She spoke on the concerns and goals of education within the scope of her new assignment.

     Monday, November 13, 2006 -- Dr. Anna Clifford, Professor of Education at Union University gave an inspiring and motivational message on the goal of education.

     Monday, April 16, 2007, Guest Speaker: Dr. John Kenneth Amato, President  of PDK International, was our guest speaker and directed the installation of new officers. Dr. Amato  spoke about the "New Look of PDK International.

Our theme for the year is "New Beginnings." We chose this theme with an emphasis in our role for the 2007-2008 year. The emblem to the left is PDK's symbol of the role of Advocates for Public Schools.
